The B500k Pot is a high quality long lasting pot suitable for all guitar/bass/audio applications.

A push/pull potswitch is usually used for coil splitting on electric guitars and basses.

It comes with the washers and nut needed for mounting.

Copper winding ensures a smooth 'non scratchy' action - copper pots also last a very long time.

We get asked a lot about the difference between 250k and 500k and the difference between 'A' and 'B' pots so here is a brief rundown:

250k = Warmer - as they bleed off some of the high frequencies. Usually used on single coil setups as single coils are usually pretty bright.

500k = Brighter - usually used on humbucker setups.

A = Audio Taper - If you looked at a logarithmic graph you would see 'quarter circle' shaped curved graph. This is how our ears define volume - it's not in a staight increment but in multiples. So when using this pot for volume you will be able to hear it go up and down 'linearly' as you turn the pot. Our ears work logarithmicly so you need a logarithmic pot to hear the change linearly - a tad confusing right? So you usually see these used as volume or tone pots.

B = Linear Taper - A linear taper pot adjusts perfectly on scale, so if you turn the pot 1/4 you will change the resistance of the pot the same 1/4. Our ears don't hear like this so while adjusting the pot for volume you won't clearly hear the change until the extremes of the pot turn. So you usually see these used as tone pots.
